…And she knows how to use them. This head-turner has me giddy. It seems I’ve been carting this one around for some time. I cannot even recall where I picked her up. I honestly didn’t even know I still had all of her pieces until recently. This upcycle was not only quick, but fun. It also ranks in my top 5 favorite pieces. Although she will be soon packed in the trailer to come with to Junk Bonanza, I’m tempted to leave her back to add her somewhere in our house instead.
Sander & Sand Paper
Before | After
With several water rings, pen markings, and a few scrapes, this piece needed more sanding than most of the pieces I upcycle. I decided to leave some of the bumps and scrapes to add character. Once I had her cleaned up, I stained the top with my favorite Minn-Wax color, Jacobean. I have been on a two-tone kick recently and decided to showcase the legs with the color, Lagoon. This soft blue paired perfect with the dark top. Much to my own surprise, I didn’t distress the legs. I sealed both the top and the legs with polycrylic.
My little junking partner was quick to volunteer himself and his new tools to secure the legs.
This table will be a perfect addition to most any room.
