As the summer blooming season nears it’s end, I couldn’t help but to share another sneak peek. Our front window has the most lovely co-pilot. A few years back, my husband constructed a fabulous window box. Well, it is more like a window shelf.
It is often my favorite part of my seasonal decorating. It is stunning in the winter, with evergreen, dogwood, and glistening lights. The spring allows for the tera cotta pots and pussy willow sprigs. Fall, undoubtedly my favorite season for the window shelf, as I am such a sucker for the pumpkins, gourds, and witches broom. Typically, I am itching for the fall folks to make their way to the front window. By now, my poor summer blooms are overgrown or dried out. However, the combination of this summer’s awesome growing weather and the ideal blooms have me still enjoying them. Beyond the blooms, the vintage pairings have made for a fabulous eclectic feel.
Although the view from outside is nice, my window seat version from within gives the window shelf an entirely different feel; especially with the glow of the golden hour.
